DFitz Apologizes

It has been released today that the highly anticipated album entitled "Go Get It" was delayed for a third time. A devastated DFitz released this statement last night obviously bothered by the news.
"I would like to apologize to my fans and supporters. I assure you the planning for the project was very organized. The plug was pulled literally an hour before the soft launch of my album. Though I could point fingers I will not. Instead I will revamp and come back harder. I will see this as a blessing."
There is no official word on what halted the project. It is known however the project has been pushed back three times before for various reasons. DFitz does have other projects brewing including hosting a new television/webcast highlighting underground artist videos, the release of her new book Taste of Suga, not to mention her everyday role as CEO of
Yesmam.net.
We were assured the "Go Get It" album will be released however we await Dfitz and Untouchable Musiq next move.

New Mind, New Grind, New Single

"When you start at the bottom, there is no other way you can go but up," says the breath taking beauty DFitz. Anyone who has been watching her career can be witness to the dramatic growth this young lady has encountered. Now with the spring season upon us, she gathers herself to prepare for her new single to hit the shelves.
With a couple mixtapes and a successful underground single under her belt, she now strives to take her career to the next level with her new hit portraying her new state of mind. "No matter how scatter minded I've been, I've always kept a good group of people around me making sure things get done. As an artist, I have a creative soul and I really think far outside the box. I'm happy that everything is coming together with my single and with my ep."
Since signing with Untouchable Musiq Group, DFitz released two mixtapes (DFitz Chp 1 V. 16 & Beauty Queen Music), released a single (Gorgeous), been on a variety of features most notable the "Carolina State of Mind Remix" accompanied by Tiny T, Moe Diamonds, and recording artist Sharnell Shunta, and performed in many areas from New York to Florida. This Beauty Queen has been hard at work. Now with a new single, "Watch Me Go Get It", she explains just how hard she has been working. With her playful delivery and girl next door smile, we can expect nothing less than a hit.
The single is due out April 5, 2010. Downloads avaliable on itunes, amazon, DFitz official site (www.dfitzonline.com), and Untouchable Musiq official site (www.untouchablemusiq.com).

DFitz Release New Mixtape Dec 7th

One might say that the growth of DFitz is quite impressive. The young diva in training is steadily making her place and defining herself in the entertainment industry. Just three months ago she officially burst onto the music scene with her mixtape "DFitz Chap 1 Verse 16" accompanied by three fire hot videos. She also blessed us with her debute single "Gorgeous" that had anyone who came in contact with the song chanting the hook. Now she is back to give us more of what she has to offer. The "Gorgeous" debutant announced last week the release of the Beauty Queen Series. We were assured that this would take our preception of her to a whole new level.
"The last mixtape was a displaced me. I was angry about the split and I was really trying to prove something to everyone that thought I would not be able to produce a solid product." DFitz tells us. The split she is referring to is her break-up between her former mentor and record label. "All that is off my chest and I'm ready to grow into my own. I have an excellent team and great management. I have awesome supporters and fans. I'm just ready!"
At first glimspe of the cover, one could only think "uh ooo another bubble gum rapper". Yet after pressing play, all those notations were disposed and we begin rocking our head to one song after another.
"Beauty Queen Music is not a bunch of pop songs. Of course its feel good music, but just like my last mixtape, you can see where I am in life. I feel sexy right now, sexy and well put together. I took that mantality and developed the persona of the Beauty Queen. I feel like all women are queens and wear tiaras (tiara in my since means your "character"). With the Beauty Queen Series I plan on showing not only woman, but guys too, that women should be treated like royalty as long as her tiara is straight."
Beauty Queen Music is due out December 7th. Download you copy at www.dfitzonline.com

Twitter and An Interview By Joanne Harris

With her hair tied in a bun and her eyes glued to the laptop, one would be a little nervous about interrupting the busy diva in training. It could be implied from her work ethics she works harder than her promotion team. Knowing her however, she'd never admit to it or begin to down play the work her team puts into her rising fame. Obviously frustrated she looks up and utters "How do I use twitter?" Being around DFitz can be compared to being around your coolest cousin from out of town. She's the cousin that's almost like your sister, but not close enough to be thought of as such. After speaking with her one would only think they've known her for years.
She slid the rolling chair away from her cherry wood computer desk and turned her attention to the digital recorder on my lap. She released a large grin and begin her own interview, "So you want to know about the show?" I nodded and she began.
DFitz: There is a lot of aspects to me. I'm not just a lyrical musician, or an event host. My all time goal is to be a talk show host. The show is my step towards achieving that.
Joeanne: We all know that you have a mixtape coming out on the 1st of October, how are you having time to do the promo for the mixtape and the promo for the show?
DFitz: I can't do it alone. I have a great label, a great support system at home, a great manager, not to mention my own drive. Honestly, I can't tell you the last time I slept a full eight hours.
Joeanne: Speaking of management, I read you split from your last management was ugly...
DFitz: No, I been hearing a lot about that too. But I was there, it wasn't ugly, it was mutual. We all come to a point in life where you realize you've gone as far as you can go with a particular person or situation. I came to that point and moved on.
Joeanne: So what is this I hear about a diss track.
DFitz: Well, its really not a diss track on my mixtape. I like to call them real tracks. Its a couple of tracks where I come hard and leave it in the booth. Every artist needs those types of track though.
Joeanne: In the mist of everything, when did the show arise.
DFitz: Well, the show was suppose to be strictly for internet radio. However, it was stated to me on more than one occasion after the release of the first episode that perhaps it would be better to make it all video. I thought to my self why not.
Joeanne: How will that affect your work load?
DFitz: It will be more work I know, but I'm no stranger to work so-
Joanne: You'll be ready huh?
DFitz: Exactly
Joanne: I saw an interview online with you talking about your album. What can we expect from you?
DFitz: Well, I am honestly trying to change the image of women in hip hop. The image has changed from the Salt and Pepper, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, and even Lauren Hill days. It seems now, in order to really sale you have to be close to nude and spit like a sailor. I'm nothing like that. My music will be for the block and the suburbs. Crunk and pop and encouraging.
Joanne: Good luck accomplishing that.
DFitz: It can and it will happen.
It became obvious that twitter was becoming a real issue with her every now and then glances at her laptop. By the way she answered the last question, I wasn't sure whether to ask the burning question that I'm sure my readers wanted to know. Before I completely let her return to her work, I blurted out
Joanne: I am a facebook friend of yours and I saw your status go from in a relationship to single. Is it true you are no longer with long time boyfriend Sheltlew
DFitz: Wow! I really wasn't expecting that, but I will answer. Shelt and I like to live a very private life but we are both so public with everything we do. That was beginning to interfere with our relationship so we decided to fall back for a while.
Joanne: You want me to help you with the twitter?
DFitz: Would you?
Joanne: I sure would for an exclusive after the mixtape is released.
She laughs, I pull my chair beside hers, and I begin to teach DFitz how to use twitter.

"Gorgeous" Women Drive

| I am way too excited about the growing success of my new hit single "Gorgeous". I wanted the song to inspire women, but never did I imagine it would inspire on so many levels. It was brought to my attention that the song is now used as an inspirational tool to encourage battered woman and help with their self esteem. This is way too awesome, nevertheless I feel I could be doing more. I have teamed up with a few battered women shelters across America and would like you to invite you to help me raise money for all the Gorgeous women in America trying to better themselves. It takes money to help care for women trying to get out of bad situations. Participating in this is extremely dear to me because I too was once in a situation that was meant to destroy me. Please help me help other Gorgeous women! We will be conducting a four week drive for four different shelters. At the end of each week, the proceeds will go to the battered shelter of that week. We are asking for $25. A $25 donation will help provide safe shelter for battered women or their children needing critical emergency help! If you would like to give more, that is welcomed, if you do not have $25, anything is better than nothing at all. If you do not have the money, then please tell someone else about our efforts. Here is your opportunity to help me help others. Thanks! Week 1-Sistercare, Columbia, SC 29202 Week 2 - Connections for Abused Women and their Children (CAWC), Chicago, IL 60647 Week 3- Battered Shelter of Oak Ridge Tennessee, Oak Ridge Tennessee Week 4 - Georgia Advocates For Battered Women and Children, Atlanta GA 30312 If your organization would like to get involved, please contact dfitzonline@yahoo.com and a staff member will reply with the appropriate information to get started. Thank you again for your support. -DFitz |

Making A Come Back

The breaks were pumped, and the ride came to a screeching hault. After realizing the direction in which her career was going wasn't to her liking, DFitz finally ended the relationship with her career mentor. Little did she know, the broken relationship would leave her picking up the pieces of her life and starting things all over again. Nevertheless, the sparky rapptress continues to push and keeps her head high. "I'm a fighter," she says, "there isn't too much that I can't come back from". When asked about the situation she politely refrained from answering only to say, "I love all of them dearly, but somethings you have to do for yourself".
Now signed with Untouchable Musiq Group LLC, DFitz turns her sights on taking the top spot in the entertainment industry one project at a time. "I had to start by rebuilding my team. I wanted to make sure everyone I am currently working with is on the same page and we all have one goal in mind. I like peace at home, and that is what I have right now." What now for the young beauty? What path will she take?
"Well, I am the type of girl that has always had great women in my life as role models. They have never been foul mouthed or loose. As a matter of fact, they have always been community leaders. With that in mind, my goal is to be as much if not more of a role model to other young girls. I am an entertainer and these days its hard to find someone that both mothers and daughters can follow. Someone always told me to stay in my lane, and my lane has always been being positive. I don't think I need to sway from that right now."
And she hasn't, with the launch of her new single "Gorgeous" right around the corner, she proves to us that everything she says she is about is true. "Gorgeous came about because it is something Shelt, my bestfriend, always calls me. It makes me feel great whenever he says it. I wanted women everywhere to share in that high with me, so I wrote the song as a form of empowerment."
DFitz is known not only as a rapper, but a hostess and a internet radio personality. What is the next project? "Well, "Real Talk" will be back for its forth season at the end of September, I'm authoring a very encouraging blog right now called "Jesus Cousin", but most of my focus is on the release of my single. I'm really busy, but if its one thing I have learned from my experiences, its to stay focus on the project you really want to work for you at the time."
